Year-Round Programs > Adventure Challenge Program

The Adventure Challenge Group of Tamarack Camps is a group of individuals dedicated to building teams, one group at a time. Through a series of problem-solving initiatives, groups experience climbing through spider webs, across bridges, and over walls. Obstacles challenge groups to think, plan, and even struggle, as they attempt to face the challenge. In a learning environment that is both fun and educational, participants are able to examine team dynamics, including communication, cooperation, leadership, support, team-reliance, and trust. Relationships formed and lessons learned carry over into all aspects of life.
All adventure challenge programs run by the Tamarack Adventure Challenge Group are custom designed to meets the needs of your group. Experienced facilitators will discuss programming options that focus on designing a program for your school or organization. Questions such as what goals you have for your group, what is the direction of your school or organization, and how can we help that growth, will need to be answered to determine the best possible program. A facilitator will discuss programming options to help you in setting up a program, from team-building initiatives, to high element activities, to supplemental leadership courses. We want to work with you.
Harness secure. Check. Rope clipped. Check. Helmet snug. Check. All that’s left is for you to take that step. Tamarack Camps offers a wide variety of high element activities designed to place participants in an exciting and unique atmosphere. These activities give you the opportunity to face extreme challenges in a low-risk managed setting. Our facilities include a climbing wall for both the novice and experienced rock climber. Our high ropes course and advanced high ropes course will provide exciting and fun challenges 20-40 feet off the ground. Tamarack also boasts one of the longest zip lines in the country. The zip line climbs over 90 ft. above the lake, then sends you racing across Phipps Lake up to 45 miles per hour. All of these high element activities are an excellent way to learn more about how you face challenges as an individual, and how you face challenges alongside your peers.
The Adventure Challenge Group commits to nothing less than excellence in adventure challenge programming, experiential education, and organizational development. Let us help you discover your team’s potential with the highest quality facilities and staff available. We will partner with you and your school or organization to create an educational experience that parallels no other. We work with you to assess, plan, and implement, programs that prove to be beneficial in team and individual development. We look forward to working with you.
Safety is our number 1 concern. Experienced facilitators will help you to be safe while having fun. Our staff receive constant training and development, and many have in turn trained other facilitators. Only the best equipment is used, and the utmost attention is given to maintain and inspect all challenge course equipment. Courses are inspected throughout the year, and inspected by an outside vendor annually.
