We are pleased that you are considering our camp programs for
your summer employment. Working at camp is different from working anywhere
else during the summer. Whatever the job at camp, everyone strives toward
the goal of making camp a quality experience for the children. A camp
job can be one of the most satisfying and rewarding ways to spend 10 weeks
of your life.

Camp
is not only a beneficial summer for kids, but it is also a great personal
and professional growth experience for staff. Throughout the summer we
will offer various staff socials and outings giving you the opportunity
to meet and mingle with other staff members. Additionally, we offer various
salary bonus opportunities to increase your pay. Please remember that
camp is more than a job; it is giving of yourself, your talents and interests
toward making camp a successful experience. Our bottom line is this: If
you enjoy working hard with kids, together with other people in an outdoor
camp setting, Tamarack Camps may be for you.

Being
a Jewish agency we are committed to helping the Jewish child understand
his or her identity by providing children with enriching Jewish experiences
through a general residence camp program. We accomplish these goals informally
through various cultural and religious activities. We are an equal opportunity
employer, and do not discriminate in our employment practices on the basis
of race, gender, religion or national origin. We expect all of our staff,
both Jewish and non-Jewish to support or participate in various Jewish
activities both cultural and religious, which comprise an important part
of our program. As in any aspect of camp, expert knowledge is not required,
but rather a willingness to learn and relate this learning to others.

The Fresh Air Society is a non-profit organization affiliated with the
Jewish Welfare Federation of Detroit and United Community Services. The
Society's full-time job is to run summer camping programs. Tamarack Camps
is community funded, and serves a socio-economic cross section of Jewish
children from the Metropolitan Detroit community and other out of state
areas.

You can spend your summer in an office or you can choose to spend your
summer outdoors, in the sun, with other people your age, singing, playing
and laughing every day. Do all of this and make a difference to the world
around you by impacting the life of a child!! Click

you what today’s employers are looking for!
